staffing solutions for your practice

Have you ever felt so busy you can’t do everything yourself, but you are too scared to go down the path of employing someone to help you?

What if you don’t have enough work for them to do?

What if you can’t afford them?

What if it just makes more work for you having to train them and teach them what to do?

What if they are the wrong person and it was all a waste of time and money?

If you are busy, we know it is hard to find the time to first of all work out what help you need and secondly to know how to get it.

It doesn’t matter if you are a sole practitioner or already have a team gathering around you, this workshop is a must if you are feeling overwhelmed at your current workload, scared to put someone on, or simply don’t know where to find people or how to get them started, you are in the right place.

Maybe you tried in the past and it didn’t quite work out as you had hoped. Maybe you already have a team and get the feeling they are not overly happy. Maybe you have put someone on and you feel regret!

Let’s get realistic for a moment and I will tell you a couple of important things. One – if you are getting home late, and feeling unorganised, behind in your work and have an ever growing to do list – you need paid help! Two – if you think employing staff is a concept for the too-hard-basket – then you are wrong, because the process can be easy and rewarding when you know the right steps to take. Thirdly – if you think you can just copy what another practice has put in place, or just get your employment advice from a friend – be wary – they might now know the best way a team can help your practice.

Our workshop is all about building a team around you that will help you get to your vision a little sooner than slogging it out on your own. Imagine going home at the end of your work day with a bit more weight off your shoulders. Imagine being able to have more time to do the things you love. Imagine feeling confident you have made sound business decisions around employment and found the right people. Imagine that great feeling when you can say to someone, “I have the best team around me” and actually mean it!

This one day workshop is great value and is currently on offer for $427.00 ($299.00 for members)

Our workshop will help you to:

  • Know the right time for your practice to grow a team
  • Choose the best way to engage a team, including employment, subcontracting and engaging virtual assistants
  • Plan if you need more practitioners or therapists, or whether you need more admin help
  • Know your obligations as an employer and where to easily find the right information about paying staff, providing leave and benefits
  • Develop contracts and communicating a team culture right from the start
  • On-board new members to your team efficiently and effectively
  • Manage your team member performances and improve team productivity
  • Encourage happiness and loyalty with existing team members
  • Feel more confident dealing with any bad eggs!

So, what does it include? Here is what you will receive:

  • Face to face 1 day workshop: We know how hard it is to find time to sit down and plan, so we have structured this workshop to teach you and guide you through essential components of staffing your practice the right way, but also to give you time to work ‘on’ your business. You will gain valuable feedback from the presenter whilst you are working, so you can leave knowing you have made great progress already. You will have front row access to our founder at Maida Learning, Amy Geach. Amy is the Director of Maida Learning. With 13 years in private practice, 3 private practices employing 14 staff, and an MBA, you can be assured that Amy will provide practical, realistic, and motivating advice!
  • Workbook: Our workshop provides you with a workbook that you can use both on the day and also when you get back to your workplace. If provides all the tips and resources you need for employing staff, including templates, and links.
  • Follow up webinar: Have you ever been to a course, and gone home feeling inspired and set to make a difference only to find months later you haven’t actually put your plans into place – life just got busy. We understand that it is hard to keep on track when things are busy so we will be running a webinar following the workshop, only for workshop participants. The webinar will run four months following the workshops as a ‘check in’ to see how you are going, and a review of any information. They are designed to help you stay focused.
  • Your own staffing templates: These are designed for you to use straight away in your practice. these are designed to help in the recruitment stage, on boarding stage and ongoing management of staff.

This workshop won’t be run again this year, so if you want to feel confident employing and managing staff in your practice, make sure you book your seat early.
